Jillian Banco, PsyD, is a Postdoctoral Fellow Specializing in Clinical Neuropsychology. Dr. Banco earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore, where she acquired foundational experience in psychological practice and began her specialty training in clinical neuropsychology. Dr. Banco received her training with individuals across the lifespan providing neuropsychological evaluation, including at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, and the Coatesville VA Medical Center. She has also provided cognitive rehabilitation and therapies to individuals and groups, which foster the well-rounded and holistic approach that she utilizes with patients in neuropsychological evaluations. Dr. Banco specializes in neurodevelopmental disorders such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as with various neurological conditions, such as traumatic brain injury, memory disorders, and stroke. She has experience with chronic health conditions, mood disorders, substance use, and severe mental illness, as well. Prior to Dr. Banco’s doctoral program, she earned her Bachelor’s degree with Distinction from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and her Master’s degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Dr. Banco’s approach to neuropsychological evaluations is collaborative, providing person-centered care with the patient’s goals at the forefront. She strives to customize patient care based on the individual while adhering to best practices and incorporating current research, a pattern her colleagues have noted and applauded in her previous settings. Dr. Banco aims to provide an empathetic and trusting environment for patients to receive an evaluation that will not only answer their questions but provide a path forward in their care and lives. At Seacoast Neuropsychology, Dr. Banco will be evaluating patients under the supervision and partnership of Dr. Rachel Orr. In addition to Dr. Banco’s clinical work, she is passionate about providing mentorship to graduate students interested in pursuing careers in the subspecialty of neuropsychology. She has served as an affiliate instructor at Loyola University Maryland to clinical psychology doctoral students. Her research interests include ethics, legal, and professional practice issues in psychology. In Dr. Banco’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, trying new cooking and baking recipes, playing board games with friends, and exploring the New England region.
